Winter Bonfire Nights in Bhurban

Is there a bonfire or fire pit experience in Bhurban Murree?

Yes. Himalaya Villas & Resorts in Bhurban has an outdoor fire pit set in the cedar garden, available to guests for evening bonfires year-round. The fire pit is the property's signature outdoor gathering space — particularly compelling in autumn and winter (October-February) when temperatures of -2°C to 12°C in the evenings make the fire both functional and atmospheric. The cedar garden fire pit is private and exclusive to the booked guest group; no other guests share the space. Arrange via WhatsApp +92 304 567 9000 before arrival.

Winter Bonfire Experience in Bhurban — The Cedar Garden Fire Pit at Himalaya Villas

The cedar garden fire pit at Himalaya Villas is referenced in guest reviews more than any other single feature. It appears in the context of snowfall evenings, of family dinners that ran past midnight, of corporate team conversations that moved from the dining table to the fire and became more productive than the morning session. The fire pit works in every season, but it finds its fullest expression in winter, when the cold makes it the centre of gravity for everything that happens on the estate after dark.

The Physical Setting

The fire pit sits in the cedar garden — the estate's central outdoor gathering space, surrounded by mature cedar trees that provide partial overhead canopy. In winter, the canopy is bare of deciduous foliage and the cedar branches are dominant — the fire lit at the centre of this space creates the specific play of fire-light through dark cedar branches that guests consistently photograph.

The seating arrangement around the fire pit is flexible: formal dining table for group meals, casual chairs and low seating for extended conversations, cushions closer to the fire for the colder winter evenings. The arrangement is requested at booking and set before the group arrives at the fire pit.

Seasonal Character

Season	Evening Temperature	Fire Pit Character
Summer (Jun-Aug)	12-18°C	Pleasant addition — the fire is atmospheric rather than necessary
Autumn (Sept-Oct)	5-12°C	The fire begins to feel necessary — best atmospheric combination
Early Winter (Nov-Dec)	0-8°C	The fire is the centre of the evening — warmth and atmosphere inseparable
Peak Winter (Jan-Feb)	-2 to 5°C	The fire is mandatory — the most dramatic version of the experience

How the Bonfire Evening Works

Request

Request the fire pit via WhatsApp when arranging the stay — the property prepares it before the group's intended arrival time at the garden

Setup

The fire is built and lit by the property team — guests arrive to a fire already established

Seating

Seating and table arrangement as specified — dining, casual, or mixed

Dining

In-villa dining service can bring food directly to the fire pit area — outdoor dinner around the fire is one of the most requested configurations

Maintenance

The fire pit is maintained by the property team throughout the evening — additional wood added as needed

Duration

The fire typically burns for 3-5 hours; the session ends when the group moves inside

What Makes It Work

The private estate model is what makes the fire pit experience distinct from any hotel bonfire arrangement. A hotel fire pit — where other guests are present in the same outdoor space — is a different experience from a private cedar garden fire that belongs entirely to one group. No strangers, no noise restrictions, no timing imposed by the hotel's outdoor facility closing time. The fire pit at Himalaya Villas burns as long as the group stays at it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the fire pit available in all seasons?

Yes. The fire pit is available year-round on request. It is most frequently used in autumn and winter but is popular in summer too — Bhurban summer evenings at 12-18°C are cool enough to make a fire pleasant.

Can we do an outdoor dinner at the fire pit?

Yes — in-villa dining can be served at the fire pit garden. Specify this arrangement via WhatsApp when planning the stay. The most common format: outdoor dinner served at the fire pit table, transitioning to casual seating around the fire for the rest of the evening.

How far in advance should I request the fire pit?

Same-day notice is usually sufficient if communicated before late afternoon. For specific timing (e.g., fire pit ready at exactly 7pm for a group dinner), WhatsApp the property by early afternoon. For event-scale fire pit arrangements (mehndi nights, corporate dinners), provide notice 24-48 hours ahead.
